Maitai Lapita Village
Maitai Lapita Village is a charming resort built around a preserved archaeological site. Located on Huahine's western shore, the Maitai Lapita is within walking distance of Huahine's main village. The location of the resort is historically very special. In fact the lobby of the hotel is dedicated to the history of the island's ancestors. Within the center of the resort, you'll find a beautiful fresh water lake teeming with waterlilies and fish. The resort has both Garden Bungalows and Lakefront Bungalows. While there are no beachfront bungalows, you do have direct access to the beach via the restaurant and swimming pool. At the same time, there is a small white sand beach where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets with Raiatea, Tahaa and Bora Bora in the distance.
