Ia orana! I’m Laurel Louderback, travel agent and owner of True Tahiti Vacation. Originally from California, I lived on Moorea for almost 20 years. Now back in California, my passion remains the same - creating extraordinary vacations and honeymoons for couples, families and solo travelers just like you. Before coming to Tahiti, I was a single, workaholic business-owner who needed to hit the RESET button on life. So, in 2000, I packed up my things and took off on a 6-month scuba diving vacation to the Islands of Tahiti. During that fateful trip, not only did I fall in love with Tahiti’s many islands and atolls — I also fell in love with a Tahitian. We met underwater while I was diving and he was spearfishing for his dinner. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, it truly was a South Pacific fairytale. ISLANDS magazine even did spread on our family in 2010. Life on Moorea was spectacularly beautiful, romantic and enchanting. Everything you imagine it to be in your mind’s eye and more. But, as we all know, sh!t happens. So, here I am - one marriage, two children, three businesses and a divorce later, and I still happen to think there is no more beautiful, romantic, enchanting, and now HEALING place on earth.

 

I’m living proof that Tahiti is not just for honeymooners. While it’s true, I can think of no better place on earth to begin your married life together, I know firsthand that it can also be the ideal place to celebrate your divorce, a breakup, or when you simply decide you need to hit the reset button on life. For me, Tahiti is more than just the place I love. It is the place I lived and continue to take great pride in sharing with you. I’m in a unique position to understand the needs of the sophisticated traveler, while knowing intimately the best way to show off these magnificent islands. My firsthand knowledge of all the islands, hotels, restaurants and various activities and excursions allows me to deliver an unsurpassed level of quality and service.
