Day Tour to Tahuata Island
Day Tour to Tahuata Island
Depart Tahauku harbor by boat, skirting the Hanakee Rock where manta rays are often spotted. On Tahuata Island, visit the hamlet of Hapatoni, then the village of Vaitahu to visit its church, museum and small local market. The people of Tahuata are famous for their wood carvings on horse, pig and goat bones and surprisingly on swordfish rostrums. Last stop is a beautiful white sand beach for swimming, relaxing and enjoying a barbecue.
